Patriots Tackle Nate Solder and his family will join Sailing Heals for its 2nd Annual Pirates and Princesses Treasure Hunt Adventure
NEWS/Boston, MA. – Every year, thousands of pediatric patients are treated at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, Mass General Hospital Pediatric Oncology and other organizations throughout the city. Unfortunately, hundreds have to stay there long term, even through the summer. Summer is a time where kids should be out having fun. These kids are not always able to enjoy summer due to financial restrictions, time and health reasons.
The Sailing Heals organization have been giving back to cancer patients and their families across the United States for the past five years, but wanted to do even more, especially for these young kids and their families.
That’s when they decided to team up with the Boston Yacht Club to host the ‘Pirates and Princesses Treasure Hunt Adventure’ in Marblehead, MA. This special day includes cruising on power boats, treasure hunts, a delicious pirate-themed lunch and the chance for kids to be real pirate and princesses for the day! This year, Sailing Heals is excited to announce that Patriots tackle Nate Solder, his wife Lexi and infant son Hudson will join in the fun as well! Hudson is battling a rare form of kidney cancer known as Wilms tumor, which primarily affects young children under the age of five. The Richard Family, survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings, along with several other families who have gone through serious health issues, will also participate in the event.

Of last year’s event, one parent said: “The day was amazing and beautiful and filled with very special people. Along Noah’s journey we have come across some giving and special people which is so nice to see and experience. We all need more people like you. Thank you again for such a wonderful and beautiful experience for myself and my family.â€
